WHAT CONDITIONS ARE COVERED BY THIS SERVICE?

Sinusitis - age 12 and over

Head congestion, facial pain, pressure, and runny nose for over 7 days.

Sore throat - age 5 and over

Pain or scratching sensation in the throat, difficulty swallowing, and swollen glands.

Earache / Acute Otitis Media - age 1–17

Sudden and severe earache accompanied by fever, hearing loss, or difficulty sleeping.

Infected insect bites - age 1 and over

Red, swollen, painful, or hot bites from insects like mosquitoes, bees, or spiders.

Impetigo - age 1 and over

Contagious skin infection with red, crusty sores, usually around the mouth or nose.

Shingles - age 18 and over

Painful rash with blisters caused by the varicella-zoster virus, usually on one side of the body.

Urinary Infections - women age 16–64

Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women: Burning pain during urination, frequent urination, and urgency to urinate.

Fungal infection

Fungal infections (sweat rash) of the skin can cause redness and irritation. Commonly found between the toes (Athletes feet) or in the groin area (Dhabi itch) It can be treated by anti-fungal creams available from our pharmacist.

Haemorrhoids

These are commonly swelling found internally or externally in the anus area. They can itch, be painful and in some instances bleed. We pharmacist can prescribe creams with applicators to ease the discomfort.

Hair loss can impact your confidence negatively. Our pharmacist can prescribe clinically proven treatments - tablets and applications - to help restore hair.

Hay fever

Hives

Hives, or urticaria, is a skin rash that can be triggered by stress. Classic symptoms include

Raised, red patches  (also known as weals) or spots

Strep A antibiotics

We can prescribe antibiotics for the bacterial condition known as Strep Throat (pharyngitis). Common symptoms of this include: Throat pain that usually comes on quickly, pain when swallowing, red / swollen tonsils, sometimes with white patches or streaks of pus, tiny red spots on the area at the back of the roof of the mouth (soft or hard palate), swollen, tender lymph nodes in your neck, fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting, especially in younger children. Thrush

Thrush is a yeast infection (commonly Candida albicans) that can be found in the genital areas, armpits and between the toes. Both men and women can get thrush and it can be passed on through sexual activity. Symptoms depend on the location off the infection and include, redness, inflammation, soreness and discharge Our pharmacist can prescribe creams and oral medication to help resolve the symptoms of thrush.

Chlamydia

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection that often shows no symptoms. We can test and treat it with a short course of antibiotics. Speak to our pharmacist in complete confidence and discretion.
